Consumer prices in Tunisia are composed of three primary components: food and non-alcoholic beverages 26.2%, housing and utilities 19%, and transportation 12.7%. Clothing and footwear 7.4%, Household Contents, Equipment, and Maintenance 5.9 %, Health 5.8%, and other Goods and Services are among the other categories (5.6%). The remaining 17.3 % of the total weight is distributed across the following sectors: Restaurants and Hotels, Communication, Education, Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco, and Recreation and Culture.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the TND while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the TND.
