The Kerala State Teacher Eligibility Test or Kerala TET October 2023 application process will begin today at the official website at ktet.kerala.gov.in. As per the recruitment notice by the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan, the online registration process will go on till November 17. The Kerala TET is conducted every year in the state for the vacancies of primary and upper primary classes.
Kerala TET October 2023: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates willing to apply must have completed the higher secondary or senior secondary (equivalent) exam with 48 per cent marks. They must have also cleared the Trained Teachers Certificate or Diploma in Technical Education administered by the Kerala Government Examination Board in order to appear for Kerala TET 2023.
Kerala TET October 2023: Steps To Apply
Step 1: Go to ktet.kerala.gov.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, search and click on the registration link.
Step 3: Register yourself.
Step 4: Fill out the application form. Pay the fees.
Step 5: Submit the form.
Step 5: Save and download the acknowledgment form for further use.
Kerala TET October 2023: Application Fee
The general category candidates will pay an application fee of Rs 500 while the SC, and ST category applicants need to pay Rs 250. The registration fees must be paid via online mode only.
Kerala TET 2023: Exam Pattern
The Kerala TET will be conducted on December 29 and December 30. The recruitment exam will be held in two shifts – morning and afternoon. The first shift (morning) is from 10 am to 12.30 pm and the second shift (afternoon) will be conducted from 2 pm to 4.30 pm. The admit cards will be released on December 20.
The exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with each question carrying one mark. Each exam will be held for two and a half hours. Each paper will have 150 marks. There is no negative marking in the exam.
The Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test is divided into four categories – Categories 1, 2,3, and 4. Category 1 is conducted for classes 1 to 5, category 2 for classes 6 to 8, category 3 is for classes 8 to 10 and Category 4 is for language teachers including Arabic, Urdu, Sanskrit, and Hindi (up to upper primary level), specialist teachers, and physical education teachers. Category 1 and 2 will be held on December 29, while Category 3 and 4 are scheduled on December 30.
